She did her MBBS from Government Medical college, Surat. She was awarded gold medal for highest marks in the university. She completed her post graduation in Pediatrics from Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER),Surat. She received gold medals for highest marks in Pediatrics in Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. She then did Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General hospital, Mumbai . she received gold medal for highest marks in Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. To further enhance her clinical skills in Pediatric Neurology, she did observership in Hinduja hospital and took electrophysiology training in Jaslok hospital , Mumbai. She pursued her passion to further Pediatric Neurology training and did fellowship in Pediatric Neurology and Clinical Neuro-genetics from the well known Rainbow children’s hospital, Hyderabad. She worked as a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at the Child centre, New Delhi. Her extensive training at the various prominent Pediatric institutions of India and under great mentors in the field of Pediatric Neurology , speaks volumes of her dedication and sincerity towards the field.

Apart from the gold medals during her training period, Dr Rini Lathiya has received Best poster award in Nervecon-3, International update on Neuromuscular disorders,2018. She also received the Travel Grant award at The International Child Neurology Congress (ICNC), Mumbai, 2018.
She has several publications in national and international journals of Pediatric Neurology.
